Campus Disinfecting / Sanitizing Annual Plan

In addition to the nightly duties of the custodial staff, the following annual plan is our baseline to keep the campus clean and safe for our community.
  • The entire campus will be treated with an electrostatic hospital-grade disinfecting/sanitizing machine twice per year. Once in the fall (strategically timed to prepare for flu season) and once in the spring. The electrostatic machine charges the chemical solution so that the solution clings to all surfaces with 360-degree coverage. The solution and the process is completely safe for all surfaces (desks, tables, hard surfaces, computers, etc.).
  • All School vehicles will be treated with an electrostatic hospital-grade disinfecting/sanitizing machine three times per year. This will be performed at the end of each sports season: fall, winter, and spring trimesters.
  • All hard surfaces such as desks, tables, and chairs will be wiped down with a hospital-grade disinfecting/sanitizing solution throughout the summer months when school is not in session.
  • In addition to our regularly scheduled, and contracted, nightly cleaning performed by our custodial staff, all faculty/staff will be provided with Clorox Wipes (or comparable brand) and asked to wipe down desks, doorknobs, light switches in their classroom or area on a weekly basis as a minimum or as seen appropriate by the individual. When a faculty/staff member is out of wipes, a support ticket can be sent for delivery of supplies.
  • Provide wipes for faculty/staff to wipe down desks and equipment.
The Maintenance Department, upon the consult with administrators, will coordinate additional buildings to be treated when special circumstances, such as an illness outbreak, impacts the School or a Division.

Technology

  • Developed plan to disinfect all common use technology (iPads, Chromebooks, computer labs, telephones) at a minimum frequency of once a week. Canisters of wipes delivered for all carts and lab areas.
  • Provide disinfectant wipes for faculty/staff devices and provided information on how to clean their devices.* Canisters are available for faculty/staff in central locations.
