Celebrating Diwali, Festival of Lights

The Casady Community celebrated Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights, during Lower, Middle, and Upper Division Chapels and a special presentation in Primary Division.
Cyclones watched dancing by their fellow students, listened to music, and learned about just a few of the many festivals celebrated in India.
The festival symbolizes the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance". Diwali is celebrated during the Hindu lunisolar months of Ashvin and Kartika—between mid-September and mid-November, and celebrations generally last five or six days.

This is the inclusive nature of the Episcopal Church that also helps children learn to live in a diverse and multicultural world.
