Application Process

List of 6 items.

  • Plan Ahead and Begin Early

The best time to apply for admission to Casady School is during the late fall preceding the school year for which you desire to enroll your child at Casady. This will ensure plenty of time to complete the admission process.
  • School Visit

We welcome your interest in Casady, and while printed materials provide you with an introduction to Casady, there is no subsitute for visiting campus and experiencing the Casady Community firsthand. We invite you to call for a personal tour to experience what makes Casady truly unique. Please contact the Admission Office at (405) 749-3185 or email admission@casady.org to arrange a personal tour.
  • Submit your Application

You may submit an application online, click the link in the menu to download an application, or request one from the Admission Office at (405) 749-3185 or email admission@casady.org. The application should be completed and returned to the Admission Office with a $50 non-refundable fee. If applying online, the $50 non-refundable fee must be paid in order to submit your application.
  • Evaluation/Observation

Please call the Admission Office at (405) 749-3185 to register for an evaluation and observation session. After January, evaluations are done on an individual basis. We will contact you to make an appointment once the application has been received in Casady's Admission Office. Evaluations generally last approximately one hour. Make-up or late evaluation appointments are arranged through the Admission Office and are subject to available space.

The purpose of evaluation is to identify your child’s readiness for Casady’s Primary program. Your child will be evaluated by Primary Division teachers for approximately 45 minutes with other children of the same birthday month. Children are asked to do a series of developmental tasks, mostly alone or with a small group. The tasks help the faculty evaluate the student's motor, perceptual and social development, as well as the child's logical thinking, motivation and interest. A child's evaluation results are only one of a number of items that are given consideration during the admission process. Casady School is equally concerned with a child as a person as with a child as a student.
  • Teacher/Childcare Provider Recommendations

As applicable, teacher/childcare provider recommendation forms must be given to your child's current classroom teacher or childcare provider at your earliest convenience. This will allow the teacher to thoughtfully complete and return the recommendation form to Casady in a timely manner.
  • Admission Decisions

Casady School will notify parents in writing about an admission decision soon after the child's screening. After March, all applications are reviewed on a "rolling" basis and are subject to available space. The Admission Office can provide specifics about the availability of space in a given grade level.

Please Note:

  1. The application for admission must be submitted online or received in our office (if mailed) prior to scheduling an evaluation.
  2. Our birthday guideline for August admission is Sept. 1. Therefore, the youngest child we admit should be three years old by Sept. 1. Children need to be six years old by Sept. 1 to enter first grade.
  3. All forms and testing must be completed in order for the file to be reviewed by the Admission Committee.
