Kent Hoffman ‘69

Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Kent attended Casady School from the first grade until he graduated Cum Laude in 1969. He graduated from Williams College in 1973 with a B.A. in History. His first job after graduation was with Casady School as a teacher and coach for 3 years. During this time he started the Summer Casady Tennis Camp.
Since 1976 Kent has been the owner and president of MetroMark Properties. In 1981 he co-founded MetroMark Realtors, which he eventually sold. Currently Kent manages Kent Hoffman Construction, which specializes in custom residential and commercial projects. He is cofounder of Performance Surfaces, which focuses on high-performance athletic flooring. He is also active in the oil & gas industry and real estate. For the last 7 years his construction company has been awarded Best Builder by Oklahoma Magazine.

Kent has also been involved in the Oklahoma City community. He is a past chairman of the Board of Adjustments for Nichols Hills, was one of the original board members of the Harn Homestead, and as a former board member and treasurer of Teen Recovery Solutions he helped found Mission Academy, the only sober high school in Oklahoma. Kent also served 7 years on the Casady Board of Trustees. Currently he serves on the Plant Committee and newly formed Hall of Fame Committee at Casady.

An accomplished athlete and avid outdoorsman, Kent has excelled in many different sports having won All-Conference in football, basketball, and golf while at Casady, and was at one time a nationally ranked squash player. When not engaged in his
own athletic pursuits, Kent coached all 3 of his sons in various sports. Biking, hunting, and fly-fishing are his favorite things to do with his time off.

Kent and his wife, Liz, have been married for 37 years and have three sons, all of whom attended Casady School. Kent is a dedicated member of All Souls’ Church where he has served on the Vestry, is currently an usher, and for the past 25 years has been a Children’s Chapel leader. He is also a Stephen Minister.
