George Corbyn '66

George Corbyn graduated from Casady in 1966 where he was the captain of the football and basketball teams. He graduated from Stanford University in 1970. Mr. Corbyn obtained his law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1973 and since then has practiced law in Oklahoma City. He is the founding partner of Corbyn Hampton Barghols Pierce, PLLC. He is a trial lawyer, a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and is included in the Oklahoma Super Lawyers (Top 10 2006 – 2016), Best Lawyers in America and Chambers USA (America’s Leading Lawyers in Litigation).
Mr. Corbyn has five children: Michelle, J, Will ’97, Janie, and Kevin ’00. He coached the Casady High School basketball team in summer league play from 1992 – 1997. His sister Lisa ’68 lives in Sidney, Australia with her husband, David McCarthy, and she recently retired as the Director General of the 3500-person New South Wales EPA. George has eight grandchildren, some of whom live in Oklahoma City.

He is married to Laura McConnell-Corbyn. His hobbies include traveling with his wife, golf, lap swimming and duck hunting with his longtime Casady buddy Jim Berry ’68.
