William M. “Bill” Cameron currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cameron Enterprises, which is the holding company for the Cameron family’s business holdings.
American Fidelity Assurance Company is the largest of the group that also includes First Fidelity; INSURICA , the 17th largest private insurance agency operation in the United States; InvesTrust, a trust and investment management group; and First Financial Group based in Houston. Bill has served as an officer of American Fidelity companies since 1986 in various capacities.

Additionally, Bill is a partial owner and serves on the boards for the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder, as well as the lead owner and chairman of the WNBA Tulsa Shock.

With American Fidelity Assurance Company at the core, Bill leads a variety of companies that offer financial security solutions to well over a million customers across the nation and in Latin America. Combined, the companies employ about 2,500 people who serve customers by protecting paychecks through disability insurance, investing savings to ensure a brighter future, providing banking needs, insuring against property or casualty losses and offering employer solutions for financial and administrative needs.

Cameron Enterprises companies are dedicated to the communities they serve. The companies and their colleagues support the United Way, Allied Arts and countless other non-profit organizations with both generous financial donations and volunteer hours.

Bill is active in a number of industry and civic organizations. He served on the board for America’s Health Insurance Plans and is a former director with the American Council of Life Insurers. Bill serves as Chairman of the Amazon Conservation Team, Arlington, Virginia. He is a member of the Brookings Council and the Center for Strategic and International Studies Advisory Council for Global Strategy Institute. In Oklahoma, Bill serves on the boards for the Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce, Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, Oklahoma City Museum of Art, State Fair of Oklahoma, Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History. He is a past regional chairman and international board member of the Young Presidents’ Organization.

Bill graduated in 1982 from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire and from Casady School in 1978. He has three daughters, Caroline, Liza and Claire.
