The Casady Alumni Association's Board of Directors has selected E. Carey Joullian '78 as Casady's 2012 Distinguished Graduate. The Distinguished Graduate Award is presented annually to a Casady graduate who demonstrates loyalty to the School; renders service to the community; excels professionally; and achieves recognition on a local, state, national or international level.
Carey will be honored at Casady's Celebration of Alumni Banquet, which features the alumni awards presentation banquet on Oct. 25 during Homecoming week. Carey is a long-time member of Casady's Board of Trustees; chairman, president and CEO of Mustang Fuel Corp. in Oklahoma City and its subsidiaries and has been with the company since 1985. He has coached middle school soccer at Casady for a number of years and is directly involved and supportive of Casady in a myriad of ways. He has been an Independent Director of BOK Financial Corp. since 1995. Carey received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business and history from Trinity University in San Antonio and is a member of the Board of Trustees at Trinity. Carey's community involvement also includes serving on the boards of the Oklahoma State Fair and the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce.

Carey and his wife, Carol, have three children. Ed' 09 is a student at Duke University; Laura '12 is at the University of Oklahoma; and Ann is a ninth grader at Casady.
