List of 6 items.

  • Visual Art

Students explore sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking and mixed-media. The focus of the visual art curriculum is on sharpening observation and problem-solving skills while providing opportunity for self-expression and creativity. The content of all visual art processes is taken from the core curriculum, thus reinforcing concepts learned.
  • Choral Music

Choir is offered in grades six through eight. Each choir explores the maturing voice and good singing practices, as well as singing in parts, improvising harmonies and performing techniques.
  • Theater

Casady Middle Division offers courses in theater, acting and improvisation in seventh and eighth grade.
  • Instrumental Music

Our instrumental music program consists of strings, percussion and winds. The goal of the program is to have self-sufficient and lifelong learners who understand, enjoy and are proud of the environment they create and give others through their music.
  • Strings

In Strings, students are guided through performance etiquette, the art of rehearsing in a group, instrument care and maintenance, instrument technique, posture, notation reading, sound production, home practice, and public performance. Students build on skills through the years by playing skills tests, performing solos in recitals, yearly concerts, and community contests in seventh and eighth grade.
  • Band

The band program begins in 5th grade and gives students the opportunity to continue through 12th grade in Upper Division. While in the band students learn how to play an instrument, read music, and perform in large and small ensembles. Students have the option to participate in honor bands, in-state and out-of-state contests, recitals, and local festivals. Communication, confidence, and the ability to listen are skills strengthened through their journey.
