Casady Alumni Inducted to Oklahoma Hall of Fame
On Thursday, November 21, the Oklahoma Hall of Fame inducted its 2019 honorees, and among those honored were two Casady Alumni - Gray Frederickson '55 and Tricia Everest '89.
Induction to the Oklahoma Hall of Fame is the State's highest honor. Since the Oklahoma Hall of Fame began in 1928, 698 accomplished Oklahomans have received the commendation. To be selected, an individual must reside in Oklahoma or be a former resident of Oklahoma, must have performed outstanding service to humanity, the State of Oklahoma, and the United States, and bring honor or distinction to Oklahoma through their efforts and contributions.
The names of all Hall of Members can be seen at the Gaylord-Pickens Museum. Additionally, those inducted have their names added to granite monuments in the Heritage Plaza at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds.
Casady School is proud and honored to see two remarkable alums inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame for the positive impact they have had on the State. We see the Mission of the School living itself through Gray Frederickson and Tricia Everest, and all alumni who work to improve the world each day.

Tricia Everest '89
Following graduation from Casady, Tricia Everest attended Vanderbilt University and the University of Oklahoma College of Law. Everest served Oklahoma as Assistant Attorney for the State of Oklahoma before taking a leave of absence to pursue service-oriented projects. Her focus is to provide men and women the tools needed to forge new paths for their children without abuse, poor health, poverty, incarceration, or addiction.

Everest served Oklahoma as Assistant Attorney for the State of Oklahoma before taking a leave of absence to pursue service-oriented projects. Her focus is to provide men and women the tools needed to forge new paths for their children without abuse, poor health, poverty, incarceration, or addiction.
Everest has been named Volunteer of the Year for the YMCA and YWCA, Compassionate Citizen of the Year by the Oklahoma Foundation for the Disabled, and the John and Berta Faye Rex Community Builder Honoree by United Way of Central Oklahoma. Current engagement includes chair of Palomar, a group of service-oriented agencies; chair emeritus of ReMerge, a comprehensive female diversion program; and service on the Access to Justice Commission, charged with developing and implementing policies that make quality legal justice available for low-income Oklahomans.
"Age doesn't matter," Everest said during the induction ceremony. "Time doesn't matter. It's what we do with it that matters. It's what we do with the here and now and being present is where we find purpose... and it's where we find peace."
Gray Frederickson '55
After attending Casady and the University of Oklahoma, Gray Frederickson began a career in the film industry that has spanned more than five decades. His work has led to OSCAR, Academy, and Emmy awards and three of his films are included in The American Film Institute's Top 100 list. Frederickson has more than 50 titles to his credit including' "The Godfather" trilogy, "Apocalypse Now," 'Bad Girls," and "The Outsiders."

At the turn of the century Frederickson returned to Oklahoma to develop the creation of Oklahoma City Community College's digital cinema program. Graduates of the program are finding success and recognitions within the film industry.
