Casady Announces Dean of Student Experience & Associate Dean of Students

Kevin Crossno and Valerie Russell will serve as Casady's Dean of Student Experience and Associate Dean of Students, respectively.
Dear Casady Community,

We are pleased to announce that Kevin Crossno will become our Dean of Student Experience and that Valerie Russell will become our Associate Dean of Students in the Upper Division. Kevin will concentrate his efforts with our Juniors and Seniors and Valerie with our Freshmen and Sophomores.

We appreciate very much the faculty and students who interviewed the candidates for these two positions. We were repeatedly impressed with the thoughtful and thorough feedback that faculty and students shared with us regarding all of the candidates. We had very strong candidates for both positions and are proud to say that by far the best candidates were the internal candidates. For us, this was not a matter of finding good candidates; it was a matter of choosing amongst really strong candidates.

We know that the Casady Community will support Kevin and Valerie as they move into their new roles this coming fall. From the beginning, the creation of these roles has been for the purpose of helping our students to fully live their potential -- to guide them to Honor, to Learn, to Engage, to Innovate, to Serve, and ultimately to Thrive.

Faithfully,
