Announcing Casady School's Reopening Plan for 2020-21

Dear Casady Community,

I am pleased to present to you our reopening plans. I want to thank you for partnering with us as we thoughtfully and carefully plan for our children’s safety and learning. We know that for some of you, this will feel like too much, for others, we understand that it will not be enough. I know this, and I promise you we have stayed true to our Guiding Principles to build a plan that acknowledges the importance of student/teacher relationships in safe environments, all while being willing to be flexible and change when warranted.

Among the things you will find in our plans is a four-tiered color code system that has been designed to help us quickly recognize in what state the School or division is currently operating. Our desire is to open in August in yellow, yet we will remain flexible and will pivot if necessary. In addition, the School has invested heavily in the safety of your children and our faculty. To that end, we have purchased medical-grade HEPA filtration devices to go into every room. While nothing can prevent the virus from getting through 100%, these are among the highest-rated in filtering out particles to include viruses.

Again, I am excited to have you watch the short video we created to help give you a sense of the care we have taken in our plans. Please click the links on the web page and explore the various attachments designed to provide transparency in all we are doing. On July 15, you will receive an email with links to letters from each Division Director that will include links to each division’s web page, which will provide further information concerning our children’s daily environment.

I believe in us!

Faithfully,

Nathan L. Sheldon
