Casady's Procedures in the Event of Inclement Weather

As we look forward to the winter season, we would like to share with you the School’s policy on cancellation or change in schedule due to inclement weather. Safety is the primary factor when we consider decisions to either cancel school, call for a late start, or close school early.
If we have a late start to the school day, we ask our families, students, faculty, and staff to arrive no more than 20 minutes ahead of the start time. This will allow our maintenance staff to safely prepare our substantial sidewalks and roads using heavy equipment.

In the event we decide to close school early, all after school activities including After School Care and Enrichment Activities in the Primary, Lower, and Middle Divisions, as well as athletics and music rehearsals for Upper Division will also be cancelled. Cyclone Express bus service will not run due to lack of drivers available.
We will communicate a school closing or late start information in several ways: on the Casady website, through the local TV stations, on the School’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter feeds, and with our email and text notification system.

Our decision to make this call is deliberate, and we will try to make it as soon as possible. It is important that we have your correct contact information, so please log into MyCasady and make sure your email address is correct and that your cell phone information is set correctly on your children's Emergency Contacts.

Please be reminded that if at anytime you feel it is unsafe for you or your child to drive or be out in the weather, please contact your Division Director to have your child dismissed from School. Children are not penalized for missing or arriving late to school due to weather.

Thank you for being mindful of our weather procedures as we keep your children’s safety, as well as our faculty and staff, a top priority.
