Achieving Eagle Scout takes four to five years in Boy Scouts. As few as six percent of all Scouts earn the BSA's highest rank. Scouts must complete specific merit badge and leadership requirements, as well as a capstone project that serves a community's needs. The Scouts completed the following projects:
  • Jack designed and built four movable TV and entertainment stands for City Center’s newly remodeled entertainment room. City Center is a non-profit organization that serves youth in the western Oklahoma City area by providing tutoring, mentoring, and healthy meals for children after school and during the summer.
  • Connor assembled a cabinet and reorganized the Art Studio room within the Studio 222 facility. The Studio 222 program is designed to give at risk youths a way to express their creative talents by connecting them with local artists and learning new ways to create visual art. The cabinet constructed by Connor is able to lock, keeping dangerous tools away from children.
  • Grant designed and installed an outdoor garden and tool storage shed at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church to support their Children’s Center. He raised funds within Troop 4 and installed three raised garden beds and the outdoor storage shed complete with gardening tools for the children.
