ISAS Fine Arts Festival Anniversary Celebration

Casady School is one of the founding members of the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest Fine Arts Festival. Casady hosted Wichita Collegiate and Holland Hall for the first Festival in 1967.

Casady School hosted 3,300 participants and more than 500 volunteers in early April to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the ISAS Arts Festival!

After nearly two years of planning this year's anniversary celebration, Casady hosted the grand event, which featured performances, workshops, adjudication, and more by the students, as well as an incredible 50th Anniversary Bash. The celebration event included fireworks, a 1967 music revival by the bands from Riverfield Country Day School in Tulsa, an 800-person mass choir and more.

The ISAS Arts Festival is a three-day spring event that features work by more than 3,000 upper school students representing 40 independent schools from six states. The ISAS Festival is recognized as the nation's premiere regional Arts Festival for hight school students.

An Excerpt from the History: It began as a dream. Inspired by the love of the arts, a group of administrators and teachers from Casady, Holland Hall, and Wichita Collegiate had a vision to bring students together to participate in a gathering to exhibit their talents. Dr. Robert Woolsey, Headmaster of Casady School from 1963-1980, knew that ISAS schools had unquestionably high standards and impressive levels of academics.
