Focus on Faculty: Gabe Gerard

Gabe Gerard is a dynamic and inspiring member of the Casady faculty who wears many hats.
Primarily he is Middle Division's eighth grade science teacher, but he also coaches football, soccer, and track, serves as the lead for Middle Division athletics coordinator, and he has an early morning Cyclone Express bus route that picks up students in Edmond.

Mr. Gerard is a role model to his students. "I will have some of these kids for six years, coaching them and teaching them and helping them on their journey through Casady School," Mr. Gerard said.

Mr. Gerard is part of every aspect of an eighth grader's day, from the classroom to the dining hall, to the athletic field. His former students remember him fondly. His easy smile and playful sense of humor always bring laughter to the classroom and to the entire Middle Division.

For Mr. Gerard, Casady is a family affair. His wife, Dr. Bonnie Gerard is a member of the Upper Division English Department faculty. His son, Blake was a Casady lifer graduating in 2017, son Jonathan is in Upper Division, and son Braden is in Middle Division.
