Clint McEwen Named Primary Division Assistant Director

Mr. McEwen will continue in his career development and aspirations to develop his leadership talents as he learns and grows from a Master Teacher in Mrs. Jane Sharp.
Jane Sharp, Primary Division Director, and Nathan L. Sheldon, Head of Casady School are extremely excited to announce the appointment of Clint McEwen to the position of Assistant Primary Division Director. We will begin this transition when the children return in January and will be very intentional to ensure a smooth transition process. Mrs. Sharp has faced some health challenges over the past few years, and we feel the Division and our children are best served by having a dedicated person, who in her absence, would assume all leadership responsibilities for the Division. Our goal is to provide our families with consistent onsite leadership as well as to foster a healthier environment for Mrs. Sharp.

Mr. McEwen will not be leaving the Orange classroom this year. We plan for him to maintain an active role as a classroom teacher through the conclusion of the 2017-18 Academic year. However, he will intermittently spend time out of the classroom handling some of the administrative functions of the Division to assist Mrs. Sharp with her work load. We will be welcoming an additional teacher into his classroom to partner with Mr. McEwen and Anna Marquardt. Mrs. Kristen Salter will be joining the Orange room to teach with Mr. McEwen and Mrs. Marquardt beginning in January. Mrs. Salter recently completed her Master’s in Early Childhood Education from the OCU Montessori Program graduating with high honors. Most recently, she has been assisting Ms. Carrie Gardner part-time in Practical Life East as well as helping Mrs. Lee Linn in Extended Day. We are in the process of interviewing individuals to replace Mrs. Salter in her current two part time roles.

Mrs. Sharp looks forward to sharing and transferring her many years of experience and knowledge of leading early childhood programs with Mr. McEwen. He is equally excited to continue in his career development and his aspirations to develop his leadership talents as he learns and grows from a Master Teacher in Mrs. Sharp. For our families, they will enjoy the ability to always know who to go to in the Primary Division if Mrs. Sharp is out for any reason. Mr. McEwen, has the full respect and confidence of his colleagues as well as Mrs. Sharp and Mr. Sheldon.
