Focus on Faculty Spotlight: Mallory Staats

Mrs. Staats loves the environment of the Lower Division and the ability to see every third grader in her classroom each day.

Mallory Staats earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Elementary Education from the University of Oklahoma and joined the Lower Division faculty in 2013, where she teaches third grade math. Mrs. Staats employs the Everyday Mathematics program in her classroom, which helps ensure that students master key concepts by continually revisiting content in an array of contexts over time. Mrs. Staats also is on a continual search for additional resources to help reinforce the lessons and practices in her classroom.

Jake Staats, Mrs. Staats husband, joined Casady in 2010 as a member of the Middle Division faculty and teaches seventh grade history. Mr. and Mrs. Staats' son, August, will begin as one of our youngest Cyclones in Primary Division in the 2018-19 school year. The Staats family is eager to spend their days on campus and continually grow within our Casady Community.

"Teaching at Casady has just been wonderful," Mrs. Staats said. "When you are hired you become part of a family and a community, and everyone supports you. It's the best feeling to go home to every single day."
