Student Services

Upper Division Learning Specialist Services

  • Remediation of learning differences as identified in psycho-educational testing.
  • Coordination and provision of accommodations based on psycho-educational testing as detailed in the Academic Achievement Plan (AAP).
  • Coordination of the referral process for students to receive psycho-educational evaluations.
  • Study skills instruction and planning and instruction in organizational skills.
  • Direct observation of students of concern in the classroom.
  • Liaison between students, parents, and teachers.
  • Collaborate with the Learning Resource Team to provide a school-wide system of support and services for diverse learners with specific consideration given to transition to the next Division.
  • Screening for learning differences, ADHD, and other academic, social, and emotional disorders.
  • Liaison between psychologists and the School for the purpose of expediting the psycho-educational evaluation process.
  • Continuous monitoring of student growth and progress in relation to academic achievement plans and study and organizational skills.
  • Petition College Board and ACT for accommodations on standardized tests when appropriate.
Psychological Services

The Director of Psychological Services provides psychological and psychoeducational support services to students and parents.

Services Include:
  • Consultation with parents of students.
  • Observation of students of concern in the classroom.
  • Short-term individual and group counseling to students on a scheduled basis or through crisis intervention.
  • Psychoeducational and psychosocial screening of students and provision of referral sources for additional services.
  • Development of and consultation regarding Behavior Plans and Academic Achievement Plans (AAP) for all students in all Divisions.
  • Coordination of the Learning Resource Team to provide a school-wide system of supports and services for diverse learners with specific consideration given to transition to the next Division.
  • Serve as liaison between students/parents and campus or community resources.
  • Work with Division Directors to coordinate and schedule prevention oriented, mental health related programs and speakers for the Casady community.
