Max Blumenthal, Class of 2011
Young Alumni Achievement
Marketing at Numerated
Former Co-Founder and CEO of Fincura
Max Blumenthal is an expert in business lending technology. He was the Co-Founder and CEO of Fincura, a software company that helps banks to lend to commercial clients and small businesses. After five years, he sold Fincura to Numerated, a high-growth, VC-backed company that transforms how banks lend to businesses, where he now runs Marketing.
Prior to Fincura, Max was a commercial lender at Silicon Valley Bank. Here, his frustration with the inefficiencies of business lending led him to founding Fincura at 23 years old.
In 2011, Max was selected to join the U-19 National Rowing Team where he represented the United States in the World Championships in London, coming in fifth overall. He then went on to row for the University of California, Berkeley before transferring to The University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with a degree in Finance. Max maintained his Sooner fandom throughout his time at the school. He also holds a Commercial Pilots License.
Max currently lives in Boulder, Colorado.
