Upper Division (9-12)

Casady School offers a 15-year experience intentionally designed to prepare students for success and to inspire young people to honor, to learn, to engage, to innovate, to serve, and to thrive.
Each day, I have the privilege of watching our students learn, create, compete, perform, and lead. Whether I am visiting a classroom, cheering from the sidelines, or applauding a performance, I am continually impressed by the curiosity, character, and accomplishments of our students. Their growth as scholars, athletes, and artists in their time at Casady is extraordinary, and they will regularly surprise you with their new skills and talents.

Academic excellence is the foundation of a Casady education. Our students are challenged by outstanding teachers, a rich curriculum, and classmates who inspire one another to think deeply, ask meaningful questions, and pursue ambitious goals. They leave well prepared to thrive in college and beyond.

However, the four Upper Division years are more than preparation for the next stage of life: they are formative and precious years in their own right, and they should reflect Casady’s commitment to “balance, purpose, and joy.” Every student deserves friendships, fun, and a community that knows them, supports them, and challenges them to become their best selves. Through close relationships with teachers, advisors, coaches, and peers, no one walks alone at Casady.

Our hope is that when students cross the stage at graduation, they leave with an outstanding education, lifelong friendships, and the confidence to take on whatever comes next. When they move on, we also hope every graduate knows that Casady will always be a second home, a place where they will be welcomed back, celebrated, and forever part of our community.

Program Overview

Our Upper Division students are approaching college and life beyond our campus, and our Upper Division program is designed to build upon a foundation of prior learning while developing independence. To become independent learners ready for success in college and beyond, our students master key disciplinary content while also learning to read critically, problem-solve with perseverance, seek help from their teachers, and collaborate with their peers.

During the first two years in Upper Division, our students continue to build a strong foundation in core academic disciplines, studying essential content and skills that will prepare them to learn with increasing independence. During the Junior and Senior years, our students have a wealth of options to pursue their unique interests and talents. A variety of elective options in Math, Science, Technology, Humanities, Language, and the arts allow students to customize their path through Upper Division. We offer a variety of AP courses, and as a member school of the Malone Schools Online Network, Casady is also able to offer additional highly advanced and/or unique courses in partnership with the best Independent Schools in the country that would otherwise be unavailable to a high school student in our city.
