Visual Arts

Lower Division visual arts lessons are inquiry based and frequently integrate with classroom units in math, science, social studies, and language arts. Students explore historical periods by experiencing cave painting, tell visual stories of medieval dragons, build proportional figures of Classical art, and practice perspective techniques used by the Renaissance artists.
Middle Division courses include Introduction to Drawing (5th), Introduction to Painting (6th), Drawing and Painting, Introduction to 3D Art (7th), Art and Technology, Experimental Art and Processes, and Explorations in 3D Art (8th)

Upper Division visual arts offerings expand in both breadth and depth with clay, computer graphics, drawing, video production, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture.
