At Casady, all students are provided a foundation of excellence, which instills them with the educational and social skills to triumph in their future endeavors.
Selecting a school is one of the most important decisions a parent can make. At Casady, we take that investment seriously and work to provide our students a life of balance, purpose, and joy.
Casady's academic program provides our students the challenges and opportunities necessary to develop critical and creative thinking skills, the ability to plan, evaluate and implement actions, and most importantly, the support to nurture their passions.
Competitive athletics and physical education are central to the development of leadership and teamwork as well as self-confidence and respect for others.
Through the arts, students can learn valuable skills and talents that provide universal benefits and gain an understanding of a world deeper than they had previously believed. Fine arts programs are imperative in fostering creativity and inspiring the mind, as well as the imagination.
Casady's advancement initiatives help further the Mission of the School by supporting programs and activities that take place in the classroom, on the stage, or on the field.

As an alumna of The Hockaday School in Dallas, one of Casady's fellow SPC schools, Mrs. Zedlitz has a lifetime experience in independent schools. Upon graduation from Hockaday she attended Washington and Lee University. There, Mrs. Zedlitz earned a degree in European History with concentrations in Russian and Art History. After finishing at Washington and Lee, she accepted an Upper School teaching position at Charlotte Latin School, a K-12 independent school in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Mrs. Zedlitz joined Casady's faculty in 2010 and has taught in both Middle and Upper Divisions. She has found the curiosity and willingness of her sixth grade students to be palpable in the classroom.
"I want my classroom to be a place where students feel seen and known. I sincerely believe that my job is to create an environment where they can be challenged and stretched but feel support in their efforts and their learning," Mrs. Zedlitz said. "I also want to help them see the world - their world - with new eyes and gain a greater appreciation for its beauty, complexity, and history."
Mrs. Zedlitz, Fr. Tim Sean Youmans, and Fr. Blizzard took rising eighth graders to the United Kingdom during the summers of 2015 and 2017.
"Having the opportunity to grow my relationship with students and share with them the incredible beauty and history of Great Britain is one of my greatest blessings. There's nothing like standing on Hadrian's Wall or in Westminster Abbey with students and sharing in the excitement of their discovery. I have had the chance to design trips and lead groups to Prague, Berlin, Normandy, France, the UK, and Italy with students and teachers over the years. It is by far one of the best experiences of my professional life."
