Sheriff's Deputy is Second Resource Officer on Campus

Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Deputy Brent Zweifel has joined the Casady Community as the second daytime Security Resource Officer.
Deputy Zweifel serves alongside Sheriff’s Deputy Justin Dang, who has been with the School now for three years. Deputy Zweifel has six years of sheriff’s office experience and has also worked on the Casady campus a few times as a sub when Deputy Dang has had to be absent. The School welcomes Deputy Zweifel as a regular part of our community and believes, that like Deputy Dang, he will be a tremendous asset to Casady School.

“Nationally, we know that safety and security is among the top five reasons families choose to send their children to Independent Schools,” said Nathan L. Sheldon, Head of Casady School. “As such, maintaining a safe and secure environment for our children to learn, grow, and mature was an important aspect in our strategic planning. Through diligent work with professionals and consultants we have been executing improvements over the past several years to ensure the safest possible environment for our children while trying not to compromise our culture of an inclusive and welcoming environment.”

Through the generous support of the Casady Parents’ Organization and an anonymous donor, the School secured funding to add the second Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Deputy to the School’s daytime Security Resource Officer patrol duties during the school year. The gift allows the School the flexibility to build this cost into the School’s budget over the next several years while being able to enhance security immediately based on strategic planning. Casady’s Board of Trustees, embarked on a strategic plan several years ago, and in it, the board identified five key areas of focus, one of which was to continue to build “Excellence through Community.”
