The 2016 National Field Hockey Coaches Association / Keith Waldman – Optimal Performance Associates High School National Academic Squad has been announced and includes five Casady student athletes.
The National Academic Squad program recognizes those high school seniors and juniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or the equivalent through the first quarter of the 2016-17 school year.

Those Casady students recognized are: (seniors) Caitlyn Greene, Kiki Greene, and Caroline Mullins, and (juniors) Gabby Lee and Caroline Moock. There were eight Southwest Preparatory Conference Schools with a total of 64 student athletes who were selected to the NFHCA National Academic Squad. Across the nation, more than 2,500 student-athletes from 328 schools were named to the squad.

“We are proud of Casady’s student-athletes and their accomplishments both on the field and in the classroom,” said Nathan L. Sheldon, Head of Casady School. “I am also very proud of our coaching staff for helping our field hockey players play hard, practice hard, and study hard. Thank you to the Casady coaches for being role models for these young hockey players.”
