Three Upper Division students auditioned, and made, the Oklahoma Music Educators Association All-State Orchestra.
Within the state, this is recognized as the top honor a high school music student can receive.
The auditions are highly competitive and students begin preparing months ahead of time by selecting music chosen and approved for auditions. This year, 100 violinists from across the state auditioned for the 40 chairs available in the orchestra. There were two rounds of auditions, which included a three octave scale, an etude, excerpts, and sight reading.
