At Casady, all students are provided a foundation of excellence, which instills them with the educational and social skills to triumph in their future endeavors.
Selecting a school is one of the most important decisions a parent can make. At Casady, we take that investment seriously and work to provide our students a life of balance, purpose, and joy.
Casady's academic program provides our students the challenges and opportunities necessary to develop critical and creative thinking skills, the ability to plan, evaluate and implement actions, and most importantly, the support to nurture their passions.
Competitive athletics and physical education are central to the development of leadership and teamwork as well as self-confidence and respect for others.
Through the arts, students can learn valuable skills and talents that provide universal benefits and gain an understanding of a world deeper than they had previously believed. Fine arts programs are imperative in fostering creativity and inspiring the mind, as well as the imagination.
Casady's advancement initiatives help further the Mission of the School by supporting programs and activities that take place in the classroom, on the stage, or on the field.

SoulCraft Wednesdays
Casady is embarking on a new initiative for Wednesday Chapel called SoulCraft Wednesdays. On Wednesdays during their standard Chapel time, Upper, Middle, and Lower Division students will participate in classroom-based discussions or activities center around four topics.
These topics include:
Chapel Life and Spirituality
Social-Emotional Learning
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Service Learning
For the SEL component, Lower and Middle Divisions will pilot the use of the evidence-based curriculum Second Step, which focuses on skills for learning, problem-solving, empathy, friendships, and emotion management from early learning through eighth grade.
Casady's traditional "Chapel Talks" provide a special opportunity for students to learn the values of faith, hope, and love. The ultimate goal for students' Chapel experience is that they will not only realize their value as children of God, but also take the values learned within the confines of Casady and share them with the world.
The goal of SoulCraft Wednesdays is to help create a more involved Chapel experience for students. Fr. Tim Sean Youmans, Vicar of the Chapel of St. Edward the Confessor and Religious Life Department Chair, said "One of many things I've noticed over the years about Chapel is that it was primarily something students 'observed.' I kept wondering if there was a way to do Chapel that built in some interaction. The scriptures speak of iron sharpening iron. I wanted to build a space for the Spirit of God to work in that way."
While Casady's foundation is Christian, families of various faith traditions have always been welcome and attended the School, which will continue to translate into the substance of SoulCraft Wednesdays.
"Our Chapel Life springs out of Christian spirituality, but a lot of our application centers around values that all faiths embrace: justice, compassion, and love of neighbor," Fr. Youmans said. "SoulCraft Wednesdays give our community a chance to talk through those ideas. Our faculty does a great job of building this into our daily curriculum, and Chapel SoulCraft will underscore it and celebrate it."
Middle and Upper Division musicians took the stage for this year’s Winter Band Concert, delivering a wonderful evening that highlighted their dedication and hard work.
Senior Lilli Henderson, an AP art student, has been selected as this month’s UD Artist of the Month for her compelling investigation into the complexity of food.
In celebration of the Feast of Saint Nicholas, Fr. Youmans made a joyful surprise visit to Chapel dressed as Saint Nicholas, spreading festive cheer and reminding students of the rich story and tradition of Nicholas of Myra.
To help kick off Hour of Code Week, Upper Division students visited Lower Division Chapel to share their excitement for coding and inspire our youngest Cyclones to explore computer science.
The Casady Community gathered at All Souls' Episcopal Church on Sunday evening for a beautiful Lessons and Carols service, listening to the story of Jesus’ birth and enjoying the incredible music of our Upper Division Choir.
Upper and Middle Division Cyclones kicked off the holiday season with a spirited Winter Assembly filled with friendly competition and lots of laughter.
In celebration of Día de los Muertos, Casady’s Primary Division created a meaningful ofrenda, or altar, to honor loved ones who are no longer on Earth.
