Cum Laude Society Inducts New Members
Casady School inducted 12 new members to the Cum Laude Society.
Casady School inducted 12 new members to the Cum Laude Society this week. The four seniors and eight juniors were chosen by a selection committee to be a part of the international honor society. Cum Laude recognizes scholarship and stresses excellence, justice, and honor. Election to membership in the Casady chapter is limited to no more than 10 percent of the junior class and 20 percent of the senior class.

At Casady, the primary criteria for election is the quality of the curriculum the candidate has chosen as well, the number of nominations received, and the enthusiasm behind each nomination by the Upper Division faculty and current Cum Laude student members. Julieta Zesiger, Chair of the Science Department, is president of the Casady Cum Laude Chapter.
The Cum Laude Society is an international academic fraternity dedicated to honoring scholastic achievement in secondary schools. The founders of the society modeled Cum Laude after Phi Beta Kappa. The society's motto is "Excellence, Justice, Honor." Casady's chapter began in 1961.
The talented members of Casady Choir were blessed with the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall, the historic and renowned concert venue in New York City.
