A recap of Homecoming 2024.

Upper Division Powderpuff and Night Rally

Upper Division students and faculty were busy with events and activities filling the days and nights of Homecoming Week. Festivities kicked off Monday night with the annual Powerderpuff football games. On Thursday, students gathered outside Bennett Athletic Center for a Night Rally, and enjoyed capture the flag, a color fight, silent disco, food trucks, and more.
 

Celebration of Alumni Banquet

More than 140 Casady alumni, families, and friends gathered to honor the 2024 Alumni Award honorees. It was also a time to celebrate Casady’s newest Golden Cyclones, the Class of 1974.

Immediate Past Alumni Board President, Lawre Everest Morrow '04, was the emcee for the evening. The Golden Cyclones' tribute was given by Mark McCubbin '74, which was an entertaining recap of their time here 50 years ago. Family and friends provided videos that spoke to the caliber of each of the honorees, Eric Fisher '84, Dr. Mike Denham '74, Dr. Hillary Glenn '89, and Thomas Fleming '15. Each of the Alumni Award winners gave an acceptance speech, providing details on how Casady shaped them for college, their professional life, and the impact this institution had on them.

Pep Rally

On Friday, Lower, Middle, and Upper Division Cyclones filled Grantham-Griffing Field House in Bennett Athletic Center for an All-School Pep Rally. Casady Cheer Squad, Pep Band, and Student Council led the exuberant students in games and cheers to prepare for the evening's athletic contests.
 

Campaign Celebration and Blessings

Homecoming festivities continued as the Casady Community gathered in the Athletics Plaza for the $35 million Comprehensive Campaign for Casady Celebration, which also encompassed blessings of the Mathis Family Fitness and Performance Center and Payne Family and Edwards Field.

Fall Fest

Upper Division student clubs and organizations set up booths on the inside of London Track and welcomed families and younger Cyclones to enjoy delectable treats and take part in enjoyable activities. Some of the booths included a crepe station, snow cones, hand-made jewelry, cotton candy, pumpkin painting, and video gaming.
 

Athletic Hall of Fame Induction

Cyclone supporters assembled in front of Mathis Family Fitness and Performance Center as Steve Shelley '73 presented the coaches, contributors, teams, and individual athletes of this year's induction class with their plaques and medallions to commemorate their accomplishments.
 
Casady School created the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019 with a purpose to honor outstanding Cyclones who have not only brought recognition to Casady, but established in the hearts and minds of our youth a motivating influence to excel, foster pride, preserve good sportsmanship, scholarship, and citizenship in the greater Casady Community, and to deepen alumni relationships.

Casady Golf Tournament

The 29th Annual Casady Golf Tournament was held at Quail Creek Golf and Country Club on Monday, Sept. 23. The Casady Community enjoyed a beautiful day on the links culminating in the dining room for tournament prizes and dinner.
