Upper Division students and faculty were busy with events and activities filling the days and nights of Homecoming Week. Festivities kicked off Monday night with the annual Powerderpuff football games. On Thursday, students gathered outside Bennett Athletic Center for a Night Rally, and enjoyed capture the flag, a color fight, silent disco, food trucks, and more.
More than 140 Casady alumni, families, and friends gathered to honor the 2024 Alumni Award honorees. On Friday, Lower, Middle, and Upper Division Cyclones filled Grantham-Griffing Field House in Bennett Athletic Center for an All-School Pep Rally. Casady Cheer Squad, Pep Band, and Student Council led the exuberant students in games and cheers to prepare for the evening's athletic contests.
Homecoming festivities continued as the Casady Community gathered in the Athletics Plaza for the $35 million Comprehensive Campaign for Casady Celebration, which also encompassed blessings of the Mathis Family Fitness and Performance Center and Payne Family and Edwards Field.
Upper Division student clubs and organizations set up booths on the inside of London Track and welcomed families and younger Cyclones to enjoy delectable treats and take part in enjoyable activities. Some of the booths included a crepe station, snow cones, hand-made jewelry, cotton candy, pumpkin painting, and video gaming.
Cyclone supporters assembled in front of Mathis Family Fitness and Performance Center as Steve Shelley '73 presented the coaches, contributors, teams, and individual athletes of this year's induction class with their plaques and medallions to commemorate their accomplishments.
The 29th Annual Casady Golf Tournament was held at Quail Creek Golf and Country Club on Monday, Sept. 23. The Casady Community enjoyed a beautiful day on the links culminating in the dining room for tournament prizes and dinner.
