New Student Onboarding

Onboarding - Lower Division

Welcome to Lower Division!

Lower Division Resource Board
Each Division has a Resource Board with relevant information to students and parents in that Division. The Forms and Resources tile on the Resource Board is where school supply lists, summer reading assignments, student and parent handbooks, uniform guidelines and more will be posted. If you have any questions about items listed (or not listed) on the Forms and Resources page, please contact your Division Assistant.

School Uniforms
Casady's uniform suppliers are Flynn O'Hara and Land's End. Our uniform guidelines are linked in the "General Resources" section of this page.

Uniform Measuring Event
Tuesday, June 4, 2024
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Flynn O’Hara will be on campus for a uniform shopping event! Our staff will be available to measure students, answer questions about the uniform, and help families place orders for the upcoming school year.

Books and Supplies
All necessary books and supplies are provided by the School and will be billed to your SmartTuition account in October. Your child will need a backpack to bring to school daily.

Reading Assignments
Summer reading assignments are posted toward the end of the school year to the Forms and Resources tile on the Resource Board. If you have any questions, please contact your Division Assistant.

Technology
All Lower Division students will be given access to MyCasady and a Google Workspace account (excluding email). The technology department will send login information to parents by June 15. All Lower Division students will be issued an iPad for the school year. iPads stay at school and should not ever go home with students unless otherwise notified. iPads will be provided to students at the beginning of the year in their homeroom. For technology help or questions, please email helpdesk@casady.org.

New Family Playdates
The Casady Parents' Organization (CPO) organizes new family playdates during the summer months! The School communicates this information to new families via email, or if you have questions, please contact your CPO grade rep. You can find the list of officers on the CPO page.

Camps
Casady has a myriad of activities that are offered during the summer months through our "Summer by the Lake" program. Classes, summer camp, enrichment opportunities, visual arts classes, athletics, and more begin in early June, and "Jump Start" activities begin in early August before the start of school. For information about our summer programs, please explore our Extended Programs page.

Extended Care
After School Care is offered for students after the academic day has ended and includes supervision for grades pre-kindergarten through eight. The goal of the After School program is to allow students to explore safe and developmentally appropriate activities at their own pace and in their own way. The program provides a variety of activities, including homework time, for your child. The program is staffed primarily by college and high school students interested in working with children. Our staff is committed to providing a safe and positive experience for your child.

After School Care is available for current families: log into your MyCasady account and click "Extended Programs" on the resource board to register. For more information about Extended Care, please explore our Extended Programs page.
