The mission of the Service Learning Program is to develop excellence, confidence, and integrity in students and inspire them to make a difference in their community.

  • Goals

    • Motivate students to develop ongoing relationships with people of all ages and ethnicities.
    • Connect learning to community problem solving.
    • Foster collaborative relationships to solve needs.
  • MD Requirements

    • Students in grades five and six participate in service learning activities as directed by their advisory teacher.
    • Students in grades seven and eight participate in service learning activities as directed by their advisory teacher. Additionally, seventh and eighth graders are required to participate in SEE periods unless excused by Ms. Larsen.
    • All MD students are eligible to participate in a variety of MD Service Learning Club activities throughout the school year.
  • Forms

    Currently, the only required form to certify hours is the Middle Division Service Time Log.
