Cyclone Wins Congressional App Challenge

For a third consecutive year, a Casady student has won the Congressional App Challenge for Oklahoma's 5th Congressional District.
Senior Pari Gulati will represent Casady in Washington, D.C. this April.

Casady had three apps in the competition this year, including two apps created by Middle Division students. The Congressional App Challenge is the most prestigious prize in student computer science, with winning apps selected by a state's sitting congress member. Winners have an opportunity to attend a reception in Washington, D.C. and to demo their app for elected officials.

Rob Huber, Casady's Computer Science Department Chair, stated "We also had a lot of compliments from the competition organizers on what a great program we must have at Casady to produce winners every year."
