Focus on Faculty: Jeff Bush

Many of our School's graduates remember Mr. Bush's fun, hands-on science projects, and lessons.
This week's Focus on Faculty Spotlight is third grade teacher, Jeff Bush. Please enjoy this video about Mr. Bush on the CasadySchoolLife YouTube channel: Focus on Faculty: Jeff Bush

He is now in his 26th year of teaching at Casady and enjoys his time in the classroom with all of his students watching them learn and develop during their time with him.

"I have many projects that I love to teach," Mr. Bush said. "I enjoy seeing students respond positively to activities that I’ve developed, but what I particularly enjoy is seeing the students apply skills and concepts from one project or area of study to new situations or to real-life events."

Beyond the knowledge that Mr. Bush instills in his students, he aims to have his students ready to ask questions and be curious about the world around them.

"I like to see them observing and thinking critically about their world. I’ve also enjoyed teaching and engaging students in mindfulness activities as I believe this is essential to living a healthy, productive, and fulfilling life, especially in this frenetic, always-connected, digital age," Mr. Bush said.

Mr. Bush's daughter, Gillian, is an eighth grader this year who is looking forward to entering Upper Division next year.
