Field Hockey Players Earn Academic Honors

Cyclone field hockey players recognized for outstanding academic achievements.
The 2017 National Field Hockey Coaches Association / Keith Waldman – Optimal Performance Associates High School National Academic Squad has been announced, and five Casady student athletes were recognized for their achievements. The National Academic Squad program recognizes those high school seniors and juniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or the equivalent through the first quarter of the 2017-18 school year.

Those Casady students recognized are: Seniors Gabby Lee and Caroline Moock and Juniors Isabel O'Connor, Caroline Hawley, and Junior Anna Buckley.

There were eight Southwest Preparatory Conference Schools with a total of 79 student athletes who were selected to the NFHCA National Academic Squad. Across the nation, more than 2,770 student-athletes from 344 schools were named to the squad.
